With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Diploma of Football Medicine under his belt, Tom has spent time with industry-leading experts involved in professional sports and research, seizing every opportunity to develop his skills. This dedication has led him to acquire a special interest in managing all sporting injuries, particularly knees and ankles in the adolescent population.
Beyond injury rehabilitation, Tom has experience optimising performance and preventing injuries in athletes through physical screening, strength training, and conditioning. His background as both a player and lead physiotherapist at senior levels in State League 4 and State League 2 with Geelong Rangers and Barwon Soccer Club has given him valuable insights into the importance of off-pitch investments for on-pitch performance.
Many principles applicable to athletic and adolescent populations are also transferable to other areas of physiotherapy. Tom enjoys working closely with people from all walks of life, using his skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription to reduce pain, build capacity, to ultimately help individuals of all ages and abilities get back to doing what they love most.
Growing up playing soccer at Geelong Rangers, Tom now competes with their senior squad. When he’s not working, you can find him spending time with his family, working on his car, at the gym, or on the soccer pitch honing his own skills.
Book in with Tom for an evidence based and active approach to your injury management, or if you’re a team sport or individual athlete looking to maximise their potential and minimise injury risk.
