Nick Ames

Senior Physiotherapist

Nick is a titled APA Sports Physiotherapist and former senior partner at Corio Bay Sports Medicine Centre. He left the clinic in 2000 to take up the full time physiotherapy position at Geelong Football Club, working for the Cats until 2009. Nick then took on the role as Consultant Physiotherapist to the AFL National Academy and Draft Combine, a position he held until the completion of the 2018 AFL National Draft.

As well as working with elite senior and junior AFL players over the last 25 years Nick has also been closely involved with Sports trainer Education, overseeing the AFL’s Emergency Response coordinator (ERC) program since its inception in 2013.

  • Inaugural Physiotherapist to Geelong Falcons U/18 VSFL team
