Alexa graduated with her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2014. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, where she worked for the university’s athletic program as an athletic trainer for the lacrosse team. Post graduation, she continued work as an athletic trainer working with sports teams including soccer, hockey, rugby, football and many more.
She has completed post graduate courses in Dry Needling and Chinese Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates (APPI), the shoulder (Lyn Watson), concussion management, taping and bracing and level 3 of Neurokinetic Therapy. Her clinical interests include the sports injuries, the shoulder, cervical spine, concussions, TMJ and the pelvis.
Alexa is very passionate about her work and continuing professional development. She believes in individualized, holistic treatment with education, exercise, manual therapy and empowering patients to understand and manage their injuries to help them return the activities they love pain free.
In her free time Alexa enjoys hiking, strength training, yoga, pilates and anything outdoors.
