Mackenzie graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. His clinical interest areas include sports injuries, complex pain presentations and exercise rehabilitation. Mackenzie also has a post graduate certificate in dry needling.
He believes in exercise as a form of medicine and there is always something that can be done to help people improve their function, pain or overall sporting performance.
Mackenzie has sporting interests in football, supporting the Geelong Cats, surfing, basketball, rugby and running. He is the current team physiotherapist for the Geelong Grammar Rugby squad whilst also training for the Melbourne Marathon. Mackenzie has previously also worked with the U16 Victorian Rugby Union squad. He was able to achieve such positions as Mackenzie is a strong advocate for load management and strength training in endurance training.
