Sathya is an experienced physiotherapist with a special interest in knee and shoulder rehabilitation. He started his career in 2003 as a team physiotherapist for first division cricket teams followed by state cricket teams in India. He is a qualified Sports Physiotherapist and has a Masters degree from the University of Melbourne. During this time, Sathya worked with Melbourne Storm (NRL) and Melbourne Kestrels (Australian Netball League).

Sathya is the current team physiotherapist for both the men and women’s Geelong Supercats Basketball teams (SEABL), and the Geelong Football & Netball League (Interleague).

Clinical interests include:

  • Sports injuries, notably cricket, netball, tennis, rugby and AFL
  • Sports physiotherapy
  • Shoulder and knee post-operative rehabilitation
  • Dry needling
  • Kinesio taping

Outside of work Sathya enjoys being a handyman around the house and photography too. During his free time he loves to bike ride and play with his lovely daughter.
